In 2022, the Micro Prairie Garden began with a grant awarded from the Missouri Prairie Foundation.
MPF awards grants to gardening and other conservation groups, parks, schools, and other entities in Missouri and surrounding states to help fund the establishment of prairie gardens or plantings that are available to the public and must incorporate native prairie species.
